Option Guide: Do I need a GM Quick Disconnect Tool?
A special tool is NOT necessary in order to remove & reinstall the GM Quick Disconnect Fitting that mates your hydraulic clutch line to your slave cylinder, but it does make the task a bit easier (and reduces the risk of damage) versus using a screwdriver or universal tool. The GM Quick Disconnect Tool that we offer is specifically designed for use with the GM Quick Disconnect Fitting.
All Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kits are warrantied against leakage for the entire time you own yours! If you develop a leak, simply send the kit back with a copy of your invoice and the cylinder will be replaced or repaired and shipped back to you via Ground free of charge. Our warranty is void when used in non-original ("swap") applications.

This unit is by far the best setup for faster shifts, more reliable shifts, completely eliminates sticking man peddle, some what of a pain to install but SO much easier than swapping in another junk stock unit. I've installed over a dozen of these and would highly recommend doing this with or without a clutch swap.

I bought this item after losing all hydraulic pressure due to a failed slave cylinder connection. I was determined to take all measures necessary to prevent future issues with the clutch system, and this MC came highly recommended by fellow internet forum users. I took it to a local shop and had the MC shipped directly to them. There was a 2 day delay in shipping, due to a large amount of orders that particular week. Once received, the technician reported severe difficulty installing the MC because of it's additional bulk compared to stock. He said it took him 6 hours to get it installed and bled, and while he didn't charge me that much extra in labor, he says he won't do another without a significant increase in labor fees. I've driven with it installed for 2 full days now, and it definitely adds a little weight to the pedal. I also noticed a shorter friction zone, which I think is good because it means I'm getting solid contact and little slip between gears. I can see how this will help preserve the clutch to last longer than with the stock MC. I have yet to test it in high-RPM shifting conditions, but the shifter moves with less effort, and the delay moving between gears is gone. I give it 4 stars for the delayed shipping, which I was told could be expedited if I would pay to upgrade, and the apparent difficulty of installation which cost me an extra $90. I recommend this upgrade for any LS1 F-Body owner; the Tick MC does not disappoint!

We continually use the Tick Performance master cylinder on our swaps and upgrade. They fit good, work well, and have great pedal feedback.
