Although we suggest measuring for piston-to-valve clearance during ANY camshaft install, every Elite Series Camshaft is designed to fit in a stock engine & stock heads with adequate clearance unless otherwise noted. Turbocharger Size Recommendation: Single 76mm-80mm turbochargers and twin 62mm-70mm turbochargers. This camshaft is designed primarily for 5.3L engines with single 76mm-80mm+ turbochargers and twin 62mm-70mm+ turbochargers. A 4.8L engine in 90% of circumstances will not require a camshaft this large. If you are unsure whether or not your 4.8 liter engine can utilize this camshaft, please contact us before purchasing.
Our Tick Performance Turbo Stage 3 4.8L & 5.3L turbo camshaft is designed for those who want to make the most power possible with single 76mm-80mm+ turbochargers and twin 62mm-70mm+ turbochargers! This camshaft will have the most noticeable idle of our three turbo camshafts (which will be much more noticeable than stock.) We strongly suggest the use of our Tick/PAC Dual Valvesprings and hardened pushrods with this camshaft (sold separately.) Hundreds of hours were spent developing this camshaft to perform precisely the way we advertise, so as a result, changes to the LSA or any other specification of this camshaft are not available.
